SEATON AND DOWNDERRY
Seaton sits at the mouth of the small River Seaton, which, surrounded by
the
Seaton Countryside Park, meanders down the valley from Hessenford,
where you can relax by the river at the
Copley Arms. On one side of the sandy beach is the Beach Café, where
locals and visitors are always welcome. At the other end of the beach is
Seaton Stores and Post Office, and you can choose between wining and
dining at The Bistro or the Smugglers Inn.
Downderry is a pleasant walk
along the beach, when the tide permits. The views from the
Inn on the
Shore are quite stunning. You can also dine at The Rosary, or shop
at the large Downderry Stores and Post Office, or just enjoy a break at
the Swan Café. |
