Trerieve
is a 125 acre (50ha) mixed farm on
the south east coast of Cornwall.
Another 55 acres (22ha) of cliff
grazing at Hannafore, West Looe is
also rented from Cornwall County
Council. Trerieve has fantastic
views over the sea, from Hannafore
and Looe Island, across Whitsand
Bay, to Rame Head, and inland to
Dartmoor and Cornwall’s Mining
Heritage Sites on Bodmin Moor.
Trerieve
has been the home of Jim and Marian
Candy for over 25 years, and, with
the help of their four sons, an
environmentally friendly farm
management system which creates an
abundance of wildlife has gradually
evolved.
The farm
has been approved for organic
production by the
Soil Association
since 2001 and now provides
opportunities for walking,
educational visits and farm based
holidays. In 2010 it was accepted
into Natural England’s Higher Level
Stewardship scheme, to promote
conservation and habitat management.
Come and
visit the farm and learn about
modern farming techniques which
produce food with minimal
environmental impact, and enjoy the
splendour of the Cornish coastal
scenery.
