Marian & Jim Candy with their family, have always been interested in ecology and wildlife and this is evident in the way the farm is run. Their life revolves around the seasons and a natural way of life without too many of the trappings of modern living. You will be free from commercial influences to enjoy nature and family life in all its glory.

The Farm has excellent disabled facilities as well as being a fully working organic farm. Even the vehicles Marian and Jim have chosen are the most environmentally friendly they could find, lacking all the 'extras' that some cars have that 'eat' additional resources and of course cost the earth. Their car has very low emissions, the veg delivery van is a recycled Post Office van (painted green of course!), the farm 4 wd runs on veg oil, whilst the tractor was chosen for fuel economy.

Roof and spring water are being used to provide water for the farm animals, thanks to a Farm and Environment Link Project grant. Plans are evolving to use solar panels and wood burners to heat the house and provide all hot water.

Jim and Marian are constantly trying to reduce energy consumption, not only to reduce costs, but also to reduce CO2 emissions, and buy green electricity from Good Energy
