June
12th MAD
MUSIC AROUND DEVIOCK (MAD) 2010
PRESENTS
AN EVENING OF LIVE MUSIC
It’s time to book a slot in your
diary on Saturday June 12th for this
year’s answer to the post-election
and recession blues. Once again a
group of friends from Deviock and
Downderry will be presenting an
evening of non-stop music. ‘80s-‘90s
covers band Kiss This are back to
headline - we also have the powerful
melodic rock band Ape, talented
local performer Tom Nicholas and the
haunting songs of Downderry’s very
own Steel Butterfly, ensuring that
this will be a ‘proper job’ musical
bonanza.
Ticket prices are being held at last
year’s £5 a head, under 12s are free
and 12-16 year-olds are £2. All
under 16s must be accompanied by an
adult of over 21, and age ID may be
asked for so be prepared.
Jim
and Marian Candy are kindly opening
their barns to host this event,
campers and caravans can stay in
their camping field s overlooking
the magnificent Downderry bay, in
either the quiet family field or an
area for anyone inclined to be
noisy.
As it is a family affair and to
comply with the licensing laws,
no-one can bring their own alcohol
anywhere on the site including the
camping fields. Only alcohol bought
on site can be consumed.
To
keep energy levels up we will be
providing the usual hog roast,
sausages, burgers, yummy veggie food
and home made cakes all to be washed
down with local beer, cider and
apple juices supplied by Cornish
Orchards. All the food and drink
will be local organic produce
wherever possible.
There
will be stalls for impulse buys run
by local charities and businesses.
If you would like to book one please
contact Chris Wiseman on 01503 250
614.
